White Lightning SmartGPU Impresses Avionics News at Sun 'n Fun 2026

At Sun 'n Fun 2026 in Lakeland, Florida, White Lightning CEO Jon Sisk had the opportunity to meet up with Larry Anglisano of Avionics News for a hands-on demonstration of the BatteryMINDer equipped White Lightning SmartGPU as it powered a TBM980 with our brand new TBM adapter (available for pre-order).

The demo covered the full scope of what makes the product unlike anything else on the market. Larry was able to see in real time how the unit delivers both airframe ground power and advanced battery maintenance charging in a single, elegantly integrated solution.

With the SmartGPU connected to the newly debuted TBM980, the system demonstrated its ability to support modern avionics while simultaneously protecting and optimizing battery health. This dual capability is increasingly critical as aircraft systems become more advanced and demand consistent, clean power on the ground.

The new TBM-specific adapter further expands this capability, offering a tailored solution for one of aviation’s most advanced turboprop platforms. With the newest firmware update, the SmartGPU can more accurately measure the resistance of any airframe battery charging harness so that it can provide precisely the correct voltages for maintenance charging. Together, the SmartGPU and adapter highlight White Lightning’s commitment to simplifying ground operations while improving long-term battery reliability.
